"Road-killed"

Films: The Monster (20160

Alias: None

Type: Unknown, possibly Natural

Location: Forest/Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Imagine some of the worst things piling up on top of one another all at once. You live in an incredibly strained relationship with the only family you've got left, who cannot admit to their own faults. You and them are stuck in the middle of nowhere in total darkness. There's a predator lurking in the shadows, waiting for you all to slip up. And the predator isn't even a regular animal...

History: While driving down a dark road near the woods, little Lizzy and her alcoholic mother end up colliding with a heavily injured wolf, and are left stranded as they wait for an ambulance. It's already bad with how Lizzy has to effectively take care of her mom most of the time, but something's watching them. Within the forest is a monster of unknown origin that wants every human it sees dead. Now, mother, daughter, and everyone else on that road is going to have to fight for survival if they all hope to see the next day.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Lizzy's mom ultimately does not survive the encounter, but the little girl manages to set the beast on fire before beating it to death with a bat. She ultimately decides to live on, and not let her mom's sacrifice be in vain.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: An aversion to bright lights, but also anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-We don't see the monster that clearly very often. But through glimpses and its terrifying attacks, we can infer that it's basically a hairless reptilian werewolf-like thing. Not exactly the kind of combination you want to see. Not helping is just how realistic it looks with the top-notch practical effects.

Trivia: -This film was originally known as "There are Monsters".

-The monster was played by Chris Webb, who has a major history of doing stunts work for over 100 films, many of them major motion pictures.

With this director, the shadow of death looms over the innocent.

Don't shoot until you see the whites of his teeth!
You thought they weren't real. No real ones. But they are.

"Enjoying the light show?"
More like the Little Monster.

"Dude. I just want some gas money."
